Judd Rebuilds V6 for JAS Tensei Honda NSX Restomod

A famous Formula One engine maker is getting into the restomod game! Judd Engines is going to help give the V6 engine in the Tensei a makeover.

The Tensei is JAS Motorsport’s cool new take on the classic Honda NSX.

This project is like mixing serious racing know-how with one of the best Japanese sports cars from the ’90s.

Judd, a British company started by John Judd and F1 champ Jack Brabham, will be in charge of tweaking the car’s 3.5-liter V6.

They’re known for building awesome Formula One V8 and V10 engines, as well as engines for endurance racing, so they know their stuff when it comes to making high-performance engines.

For the Tensei, Judd will check the engine carefully and cut down on weight while making the performance better. They’re not just trying to get more horsepower.

The engineers will also work on improving how the power is delivered and making sure the engine lasts, all while keeping the feel that made the original NSX so loved.

Even with all the engine work, the rebuilt engine will still be like Honda’s original design. John Judd Jr. says that they work on old and new 3.5-liter engines all the time and want to use that knowledge to make the V6 more responsive and better to drive every day.

The changes aren’t just to the engine, though. Pininfarina, a design company, is in charge of updating the NSX’s look for the Tensei.

They’re making small changes to the ’90s shape while keeping the same look that made it a special car. From what we’ve seen, it looks like they’re keeping the spirit of the original car but making it look fresh.
