Evoluto 355 production confirmed with 480hp V8

The revitalized Ferrari 355 is nearing its release. Following extensive road testing, the Evoluto 355 is scheduled to begin production next month, boasting even more power than initially anticipated.

Initially, the plan was to get 420hp from a modified 3.5-liter V8. Now, Evoluto claims a 3.7-liter setup, boosting output to 480hp at an impressive 9,000rpm.

Enhanced camshafts, reinforced internal components, and improved valve trains should provide quicker throttle response and improved acceleration throughout the rev range.

While both engines are technically options, most buyers who can afford a restomod will probably choose the higher-revving engine.

A five-speed manual is the only transmission on offer. Extended and lighter driveshafts, along with wider tracks, emphasize the comprehensive engineering changes.

The chassis modifications are more extensive than expected. The front and rear track widths are increased. The suspension uses a custom R53 three-way adjustable remote-reservoir system.

Also, the steering rack is changed radically from 3.25 to 2.0 turns lock-to-lock using a new electro-hydraulic system.

The uprights, arms, bearings, and geometry have all been re-engineered to sharpen the scrub radius and castor, which must lead to a more precise front end without losing feedback.

The interior focuses on classic design. There’s no central touchscreen. The essentials are there, with easy-to-use switches and a simple cabin design that discreetly integrates modern climate control.

Validation will continue through the spring season. The first customer cars headed to the UK are expected in late 2026, each supported by a two-year, 20,000-mile protection. If you loved the F355, this could be the definitive model.
