A 1965 Pontiac Tempest convertible has become a 650hp GTO tribute called Billie. Built by Ringbrothers for the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the restomod took more than 5,500 hours to complete.
Some of its most involved work is easy to miss, even when you’re looking straight at it.
Where the extra five inches went
Ringbrothers widened the body by 2.5 inches on each side, carrying the extra width through the wings and doors.
That gave the car room for much wider tyres while keeping the long bonnet and familiar proportions of a mid-sixties Pontiac.
The blue paint helps tie it together. Its name, Billie Goat Blue, picks up the same joke as the car’s badge.
Carbon fibre is used for the bonnet, door skins, front valance and rear diffuser.
Around the back, a single piece of machined aluminium frames the tail-lights, and the diffuser incorporates outlets for the exhaust.
The changes are easier to spot from the rear, where the 20-inch wheels and 345-section tyres give away just how much wider Billie is.
A supercharged Chevrolet V8 under the bonnet

The engine is a supercharged 6.2-litre Chevrolet LT4 V8 rated at 650hp and 650lb ft of torque. It drives through a ten-speed automatic, and Ringbrothers fabricated the exhaust in-house.
Underneath, a Roadster Shop Fast Track Stage III chassis brings independent rear suspension, with Fox coilovers and Brembo brakes. The staggered HRE wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 20 at the rear, with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres at both ends.
The dashboard moved, and the old radio stayed

Ringbrothers repositioned the dashboard to make more room in the cabin. The team added digital instruments and machined aluminium trim, but kept the original radio and updated it with Bluetooth.
It’s a small detail that captures the approach to the whole car. Billie still looks like a Pontiac from the driver’s seat, even though much of what you touch and everything beneath you has been reworked.
Gentex listed Billie for its booth at the 2026 SEMA Show, where it appeared on the official reveal schedule.
