American Expedition Vehicles is dialling attention to maximum with a limited run of Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2 Bison trucks finished in Tangier Orange, a paint colour rarely seen outside US fleet orders.
Loud, unapologetic and impossible to miss, it’s a small visual tweak that dramatically changes the character of an already intimidating off-road pickup.
Tangier Orange is normally locked behind GM’s fleet-only paint code 9W4, but AEV has secured access for a capped number of Bison builds.
While the exact production limit hasn’t been confirmed, examples are expected to be scarce. The colour itself adds just $350 to the build, making it one of the most affordable ways to stand out in the heavy-duty off-road space.
The paint option sits on top of AEV’s full ZR2 Bison upfit, priced at $11,999 and separate from the truck itself.

That package transforms the Silverado with 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tyres mounted on AEV Salta XD wheels, revised suspension hardware to clear the rubber, a front-mounted winch, rear bumper auxiliary lighting and a collection of AEV-branded exterior details.
Buyers choosing Tangier Orange can also specify bronze-finished Salta XD wheels for an extra $640, leaning even harder into the show-truck aesthetic.
Pricing, however, reflects the scale of the hardware. The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2 Bison starts at $84,970 in the US, and a fully optioned example in this specification nudges the $100,000 mark.
It’s a serious investment, but also a serious machine—one aimed squarely at buyers who prefer their off-road capability served with zero subtlety.
