Tesla has introduced a new entry-level Cybertruck Dual Motor AWD, slashing $20,000 from the previous all-wheel-drive version while keeping much of its performance intact.
Priced from $62,235, the new base trim retains the same dual-motor setup producing 593 horsepower.
Tesla claims 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and a driving range of 325 miles, matching other two-motor variants. However, towing capacity falls to 7,500 pounds, down from 11,000 pounds in the former AWD model, now renamed Premium.
To achieve the lower price, Tesla has pared back equipment. The base truck loses the adjustable air suspension but keeps adaptive dampers, and it rides on 18-inch wheels as standard.

Buyers can opt for 20-inch alloys for $2,500 without affecting the official range figure.
Inside, leatherette upholstery gives way to fabric seats, front seat ventilation is removed, and the 9.4-inch rear passenger touchscreen disappears.
The 15-speaker audio system is replaced by a seven-speaker setup, and active noise cancellation is deleted.

Bed functionality remains strong, with a powered tonneau cover and three outlets still fitted, although cabin outlets are reduced.
Tesla has also cut the price of the tri-motor Cyberbeast by $15,000, bringing it back to $102,235 following a previous increase in August 2025.
An update issued on 20 February 2026 suggests the $62,235 starting price may only be available for the next 10 days, according to a comment from Elon Musk on X. Whether that applies to pricing or availability remains unclear.
