Polestar is pressing on with an aggressive product push after recording its strongest sales year yet in 2025.
The Swedish EV brand is preparing a wave of new models, starting with the long-awaited Polestar 5, due in the UK this summer from £90,000.
Touted as a Taycan rival, the 5 sits on a bespoke bonded aluminium platform and promises sharp handling to match its super-GT billing.

First UK deliveries are scheduled for the warmer months, setting the tone for what CEO Michael Lohscheller calls the “largest model offensive” in the company’s history.
Next comes a fresh take on the Polestar 4. The rear-window-less electric fastback will gain a new variant later this year, with Lohscheller claiming it will “set new standards”.
He hints at a blend of estate practicality and SUV versatility, wrapped in the brand’s typically restrained performance focus.
Deliveries are expected before the end of 2026, positioning it against cars such as the BMW i5 Touring and Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo.
Further ahead, 2027 brings a second-generation Polestar 2. The original has shifted nearly 200,000 units since 2020 and remains central to the firm’s ambitions.

Details are scarce, but longer range and stronger efficiency are safe bets as it prepares to face incoming rivals including the next BMW i3 and Mercedes CLA.
Completing the expansion is the Polestar 7, a compact electric SUV due in 2028. With small crossovers accounting for roughly a third of European EV sales, it’s a vital segment.
Built in Europe for the first time, it’s promised to deliver performance at a more accessible price point.
