ABT hasn’t let the Audi RS5’s move to plug-in hybrid power spoil its plans. Its new RS5-R raises combined output to around 710bhp and adds a carbon bodykit, with just 130 examples planned worldwide.
Available as a saloon or Avant estate, the conversion starts at €62,000 before fitting. You’ll also need to supply the RS5.
More power from the V6

The ABT Power S upgrade works on the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 within Audi’s hybrid system. ABT quotes a combined 720 PS, equivalent to approximately 710bhp, and 905Nm of torque.
That compares with the standard car’s 639 PS and 825Nm. These are combined petrol-and-electric figures, rather than the output of the V6 alone.
There’s a detail worth remembering at the pumps, too: ABT’s performance figures apply when using 98 RON petrol.
More is already planned. ABT is targeting the second quarter of 2027 for an 800 PS upgrade, approximately 789bhp, alongside a titanium exhaust developed by Akrapovič.
Carbon trim and a lower stance

The bodykit adds a front spoiler, wheelarch vents, side skirts and a rear diffuser. Buyers can choose gloss carbon or a matt carbon finish with a camouflage pattern.
The Avant also gets a rear wing. It’s a fairly clear sign that this estate has had more than a wheel change.
Underneath, ABT fits lowering springs and sports anti-roll bars, which are intended to reduce body lean through corners. Gloss-black 22-inch forged wheels complete the changes.
Inside, Dinamica microfibre trim covers parts of the cabin, alongside carbon gearshift paddles. Badges and door sills mark each car as one of the 130.
What the conversion actually costs

German package prices start at €62,000 for the saloon and €65,000 for the Avant in gloss carbon. The camouflage finish adds €3,000 to either.
Fitting adds €7,160 for the saloon or €7,600 for the estate, with TÜV approval charged separately. Those prices include 19 per cent German VAT and exclude the base car.
That makes the starting cost €69,160 for a fitted saloon conversion, before approval fees or buying the Audi. UK buyers will need a separate quote covering local costs and registration requirements.
